If experts are to be believed, the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic might be knocking at our doors soon and for that, they are stressing more about adopting the CAB as well as going to immediate vaccination. Going for vaccination has become even more important as the educational institutions are set to be reopened in a phase-wise manner. In this regard, the concerned heads of the colleges and other educational institutions have been directed to pace up the vaccination.
The Divisional Administration, Kashmir has also directed the colleges as well as the medical colleges to pace up the vaccination and administer at least one vaccine to dose to all the eligible students by September 19. At the same time, there is also a need for pacing up the vaccination of HCWs and FLWs as it has been noted that despite the passage of over 8 months now, there has not been 100% vaccination coverage of the HCWs and FLWs—which should be a cause of concern for the authorities which have been actively taking measures to ensure the health of all.
At the same time, the authorities need to fix the problems being faced by the people about vaccination. The major problem has been that of undue messages of vaccination, even as the concerned individual has not even received a single dose—he/she gets a ‘fully vaccinated’ message. There also have been several instances where people are not notified about the vaccination. Therefore, such instances are capable of putting up inaccurate data. These matters need to be fixed while as the vaccination process needs to be ramped up even more.
