SRINAGAR: Struggle to restore 370; After The all-party meeting, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti once again said that talks should be held with Pakistan. However, she also gave reasoning for this. At the same time, she also said that the struggle to restore 370 will continue.
According to the Report of GroundReport.in Mehbooba said, “On August 5, 2019, 370 was removed in an unconstitutional way, it is not acceptable to the people there. We will fight for its restoration in a democratic, constitutional way. We did not get it from Pakistan. Apart from this, we said that you are from China. Talking together where there is no participation of the people. If the people of Jammu and Kashmir get relief then you should talk to Pakistan. Our business is closed. Talk should be done about that.
Mehbooba said, “UAPA is imposed on people, strictness is imposed, it should be closed. Political prisoners who are in jails should be released. Our natural resources should be protected. People of Jammu and Kashmir are very tight. . Even if they breathe hard, they are kept in jail. This should stop.”
She also said that a package should be given to the people of business, tourism, horticulture. On 370, Mehbooba Mufti said, “You removed 370 in an unconstitutional way, it should be restored in a constitutional way.”
At the same time, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that he will present his side in the court against the abrogation of Article 370. He also said that he asked the Prime Minister to take steps to restore trust with the people of Kashmir.
After the meeting, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “We do not accept in the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. If this matter comes to the Supreme Court, we will keep our word about the entire state.”
Omar said, “We will fight our battle against this decision by presenting our side in the court in a democratic way on 370. The trust between Jammu and Kashmir and the Center has been broken. It is the Prime Minister’s duty to restore that trust. Steps should be taken. He listened to us very well.”
He said, “Jammu and Kashmir should be given statehood again. Full statehood. The Prime Minister talked to everyone present in the meeting to join the process of delimitation but some leaders expressed doubts on it. Want to see Kashmir like other states.
Omar said, “Both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister said that it is their priority to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir and conduct elections at the earliest. Ghulam Nabi Azad also said that statehood should be given first and then elections should be held. However, the Prime Minister did not say anything about this.
