PM Modi inspirational power of new India: Lt Guv

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an inspirational power of new India.

While addressing ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event in Srinagar, LG Manoj Sinha said, “It is our good fortune that PM Modi is amongst us. I want to congratulate him on becoming the PM for the third time. I believe that PM Modi is an inspirational power of new India who has spent his every moment working for the people and in realising ‘Viksit Bharat’.”

Sinha said that only three months ago, PM Modi inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 39000 Crore in Srinagar. “Due to the efforts of PM Modi, Kashmiri youth have replaced stones with the tools of innovations,” he said.

The J&K LG said that there is no stone pelting taking place in Kashmir now and hartals are a history. “Schools, Colleges and Universities remain open throughout the year and youth are chasing their dreams with zeal in the fields of sports, business and innovations. Youth are taking part in sports events in large numbers and becoming part of Naya Kashmir,” he said.

LG Sinha emphasized the administration’s efforts to align with the vision of Viksit Bharat by providing essential skills and opportunities to the youth. “In the pursuit of building a bright and empowered future for our young generation, the UT administration has undertaken a series of ambitious initiatives focused on skill development, innovation, research, and providing them all necessary support to build start-ups,” LG Sinha stated.

Highlighting the progress made in the past four years, LG Sinha noted that multifaceted strategies have significantly advanced youth entrepreneurship, with over 40,000 young individuals securing government employment during this period. The initiative aims to foster inclusive growth and prosperity across the Union Territory by unlocking the potential of J&K’s youth through enhanced resources and support from higher education institutions and government agencies.
