Kashmir Will Fight Back, No Mercy for Terrorists: Union Min Goyal

Srinagar: Union Minister Piyush Goyal, during a press conference in Srinagar on Sunday, firmly stated that Kashmir is moving steadily on the path of progress and will not be derailed by acts of terrorism. He emphasized the significant efforts of the central government and the local administration in revitalizing industry, trade, and tourism across the region.

According to KNS, Goyal said that despite past challenges, including terrorist attacks aimed at harming the economy, Kashmir has shown resilience. “Kashmir is not going to stop. It will answer the terrorists,” he declared, noting that the attacks weren’t just on tourists, but on the economic backbone of the region.

He praised the success of democratic processes in J&K and the revival of industrial growth supported by a ?28,000 crore central incentive scheme, which has encouraged units in tourism, healthcare, food processing, and manufacturing.

Goyal further mentioned that the central and J&K governments would work hand-in-hand to strengthen commerce, increase exports, and promote the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. “Local will go global,” he said, while addressing a gathering of traders and business leaders.

He also spoke about Operation Sindoor, calling it a strong response to terrorism supported by neighboring countries, and appealed for public unity in the mission. “Just as we are ending Naxalism, we will also defeat terrorism with the people of Kashmir,” Goyal added.

The Union Minister concluded by congratulating the people, the government, and the media of Kashmir for showing the world that progress and peace in the region cannot be stopped.(KNS)
