Attackers make abortive attempt to loot petrol pump, injure 2

Srinagar: Some unknown persons on Sunday at around 4 PM barged into the property of the Editor and Owner Daily Fish Eye Mukhtar Wani intending to loot the cash from the petrol pump situated at Dalgate near Jan Bakery.

During the ensuing incident, two salesmen at the petrol pump were injured after the men who barged in failed in looting the cash from the petrol pump.

The entire incident has been caught by the CCTV camera installed at the property and in this regard, the owner of the property has sought immediate action from the police to nab the attackers.

The criminals came in a car bearing number JK01AJ-7736 and the salesmen who have been injured are Showket Ahmad Pandit and  Humayun Rashid.

“The police must act and identify the individuals who barged into my property and seriously injured two of my salesmen at the spot. There is a need for the police to increase the vigil around the area so that such incidents are not repeated,” Mukhtar Wani said, adding that it appears that no one is safe and anyone can come and harm anyone at their will.

He appealed to the higher-ups of the police particularly the concerned Dy SP, and the civil administration to take measures so that the attackers are nabbed without any further delay and such incidents are prevented in the future.

The injured salesmen have been shifted to the hospital where they are being treated and are stated to be stable. We know that the concerned and SHO Ram Munshi Bagh will ensure timely action into the matter and take measures to nab the culprits.
