New Delhi: BJP on Thursday strongly criticised Congress and other Opposition parties for holding a protest march from Parliament to Vijay Chowk, calling it a ‘political stunt’.
Reacting to the event, Party National Spokesperson Sambit Patra said, Congress has lost all the credibility to hold this kind of protest, when their own MPs have created ruckus inside Parliament.
“For the first time in the history, leaders of the opposition were trooped into the well and broke done a door in the lobby , which resulted one security guard was injured during the event”, he alleged.
Mr. Patra said, these were the people who are demanding a special session of parliament on Corona, but the way they were conduct themselves in parliament the entire country was ashamed of.
“It seems the Opposition parties are trying to murder the democracy and the people of this country will never forgive them’’ he added.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur also came down heavily on the opposition parties, saying people are waiting for their issues to be raised in Parliament whereas anarchy remained the Opposition’s agenda. Taking to the twitter, Mr Thakur said “they didn’t care about people, taxpayers’ money. What happened was condemnable. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, they must apologise to nation” said Anurag Thakur.
