There are several areas in North as well as South Kashmir where the people have been on and off complaining about the poor mobile connectivity; however, despite the matter being brought to the notice of the concerned authorities, the problem continues to persist. The poor connectivity in the age when people are enjoying 5-G technology is unimaginable and needs to be rectified.
Over time, mobile connectivity has been increased in Kashmir even in the higher reaches which used to be cut off in the absence of effective connectivity. There even are areas that now have good connectivity but at the same time, there are still are such areas that crave effectively and longer mobile connectivity.
While communication has always been a necessity, its needs have increased manifold over the last 10 years. At the same time, while the telecommunication companies remain in competition with each other, there is a need for competing in providing the services in the areas that remain inaccessible. Effective communication in these areas during the winter season works as an essential service and in the absence of the same, the daily affairs turn out to be difficult while the technology should pave way for making it smooth and easy.
There is a need for the service providers to identify such areas and provide them with seamless services so that they remain connected with the rest of the world. At the same time, the administration should also work to pave a way for these areas to become connected.
