The security guards of J&K Bank are up in arms against the authorities as the J&K bank has handed over the security of the bank to a new company which has now resorted to a salary cut of the workers who are now working in the bank as security personnel for the last more 10-13 years. These people which include men as well as women have been left to fend for themselves.
They have got several genuine and valid points which they are making. The concerned security company need to take into consideration the sacrifices which these people have made during every situation—be it COVID or any law and order situation—they have always been at the forefront and with that if their salaries are cut, they are threatened of termination, it indeed is a sheer injustice for them to face.
While, as of now, the bank authorities are not involving themselves in the matter and are asking the security personnel who rue the undue decisions taken to take up the matter with the concerned company—however, the situation demands that the bank needs to involve itself into the issue and at the same time make sure that the bank services are disrupted due to any step taken by the security personnel to make sure that their demands are met.
There is a need for ending the deadlock and revoking the decision of salary cut and other measures due with which the workers are unhappy. There is a need for giving them what they rightfully deserve.
