Srinagar: With no forecast of major snow or rainfall till December 23, the night chill intensified across the Valley as most parts of Kashmir including the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, recorded the coldest night of the season at minus 3.9 degrees Celsius, officials said.
Officials from the Meteorological department informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg recorded minus 8.6 degree Celsius in the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
As per the official figure, Pahalgam, a famous health resort and Kokernag recorded minus 6.4 and minus 3.9 degree Celsius respectively.
Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded minus 3.8 degree Celsius, the data said.
Pertinently, the Director MeT, Sonum Lotus has told KNO that there is no prediction of heavy snow or rainfall till December 23, 2021—
