‘Udta Kashmir’ my readers don’t mind to read it as Udta Kashmir but not as Udta Punjab, title of the Bollywood movie that depicted a crisis concerning the youth of Punjab who are captured in the fire of drugs. Same we (j&k) are going through everyone is aware about the consequences of the drugs and how it spread among the youth and there are definitely some major reasons that youth of J&k get into drugs like unemployment or we can say we had political instability and conflicts in the past though the number of drugs consumers were very low that time. And here comes a question that where drugs came from?
Pakistan via border areas of J&K is among the answers many of my readers will choose but J&K is being deployed with the huge number of security forces so how it is possible then?
Over 1.12 lakh security forces are deployed in the LOC areas of J&K .And no doubt the people of LOC area like Tanghdar karnah witness strict checking for hours and hours no matter how much problems they face be it any medical emergency, freezing weather conditions checking by security is done but still the drugs and peddlers reach to their destinations and then few got caught as well most surprising case we witness in Rajbagh where the a huge drug consignment was caught recently by Rajbagh police station and the kingpin was a CRPF Jawan. So,where they find the escape hole? The L.G administration, local agencies, para forces, anti drug forces and civilian as well need to work on this hidden question collectively.
