Syedabad is a quaint and captivating village located in the Tehsil Aripal , sub-district Tral of Pulwama district.It is situated 11km away from sub-district tral and 35km away from district pulwama. According to census 2011, village spans a total geographical area of 247.73 hectares and as per census 2011 total population of syedabad was around 2465 including approximately 1285 males and 1180 females with a sex ratio of 918 females per 1000 males, literacy rate about 48.36% but now it may be around 70% above and as per census 2011 there are 406 households. Syedabad is surrounded by lush green mountains, dense forests, and charming orchards, Syedabad reflects the true essence of rural Kashmir — a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and simplicity.
History:
Syedabad derives its name from the Syed families who settled here centuries ago. The village holds spiritual significance due to the presence of religious shrine of Hazrat Roop Reshi R.A and Ahmed sahab Pastun, Both pious personalities who once spread the message of peace and brotherhood in the region. Elders often narrate stories of the village’s rich past, linking it to the broader history of Tral, which has always been a cultural and spiritual hub in Kashmir.

Hidden deep in the upper forest of Syedabad lies a breathtaking place called Sarbal (Meadow)— Surrounded by dense pine forests and framed by majestic mountains, Sarbal offers an untouched natural charm. The lush green meadows spread like a velvet carpet, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, trekkers, and those seeking peace away from crowded tourist spots. Despite its stunning beauty, Sarbal remains relatively unknown, preserving its serene and tranquil atmosphere.
Spring brings vibrant blossoms of Peach, apricot, and apple, where Autumn covers the landscape with shades of gold and crimson.

Demand: one of the key public demand of our village is thye construction of a road form syeabad paastuna to Wahab Sahab Road, This road has been pending for a long time, but its completion would bring significant benefits to our community. It would not only improve connectivity but also create employement opportunities during and after construction and additionally better roads access will boost local businesses, improve transportation for students and patients.This road takes less time to reach Pampore town and srinager capital, and contribute to overall development of the area.
