As the dignitaries are receiving their vaccine shots across the country as well as in J&K-the move is all set to instil faith in the general population as the vaccination process moves ahead with time. It would be a good sign and will play a vital role in finishing off the pandemic.
While the elderly people and those who comorbidities being given vaccine, the process for the comorbid patients who are supposed to get a certificate from the competent authority before being inoculated, the process appears to be cumbersome and needs to be eased a bit for the larger good.
Further, regarding clearing out the confusion in the masses regarding the need of getting vaccinated as well as its effectiveness, the concerned department needs to pay more attention to the awareness in the days to come and should use the popular media to spread the awareness so that confusions, as well as doubts, are cleared.
While the entire load of the vaccination is going to be handled by the Government sector, it was a good step to rope-in the private sector in the process. It would not only help in decreasing the burden of the public sector but also put the private sector to a decisive test.
In this scenario, there is a need for keeping an eye on the functioning of these private hospitals that are set to be roped in by the concerned department in J&K. They should be allowed to operate only if they are up to all the requirements. There is no room for taking it lightly!
